When the starter went out in my 1995 Wrangler, I quickly found that I needed an external star socket to get the bolts to the old starter motor off. Thank you, Jeep engineers, but this set to the rescue! The sockets come in a blow molded blue case which is great for storage. The sockets themselves are impact rated and feel substantial. Each one has the Duratech name and socket size (E4-E24) printed on them, so that's a nice bonus. Mine came in the case with a little coating of oil over their black finish. The smaller sockets fit 1/4" drive, the medium sockets work with 3/8" drive and the larger ones fit 1/2" drive wrenches. These seem like they are good quality, especially for the price.

I bought this socket set because I needed a E24 socket to replace the rear shocks on my Ram Promaster van. I could get the E24 socket alone at big box stores for two dollars less than this whole set. I used the socket with my impact air gun and it worked perfectly for me, got the job done. Excellent quality at reasonable price.

I’m impressed. I had some harbor freight Pittsburgh brand external torx sockets and the E12 in that set couldn’t bite these star bolts and would spin. I bought this duratech set because it had an E11 thinking that was my issue. WRONG it was an E12 but the duratech E12 seems to be machined slightly more precise which gave me the leverage I needed to remove these difficult bolts. 👍👍👍 for the price and quality I’m happy

This set of pliers is a heavy duty set. This is more than just for tinkering around the home. Each tool has heft to it. You can feel the quality as you use them. The handles have nice thick insulation and grips. This set comes with a nice carrying case that rolls up and then is secured with elastic straps. I can see those straps stretching out over time but then a Velcro strap would do the trick. I did not buy then for the elastic strap so that is a minor thing. Even though the price is a little higher than others I feel it is a reasonable ask for the quality of the tools you are getting. I recommend this tool set.

This review is for the DURATECH 7-piece plier set, with roll-up storage pouch. This is one of those wonderful times when the product I ordered FAR exceeded my expectations! I was immediately impressed with the quality of these tools, how they feel in my hands, and even the quality of the roll up pouch.I use tongue and groove pliers all the time, usually the most well-known and more expensive brand, and these DURATECH pliers really are very nicely made! Not only do they operate very smoothly, but they get a good grip on whatever I'm using them on. I really tested the 8" and 10" pliers on some galvanized pipe, and they held up to high grip pressure, and did not slip on the pipe.Another thing I love about these tongue and groove pliers is how wide they open up. That makes them very versatile.Speaking of grips, the rubber grips on these are super comfortable, and stay in place. In the past I've often had problems with the well-known brand's grips slipping off.I cut heavy wire with the linesman and diagonal pliers, and they're both super sharp. Especially the large linesman pliers really gives you good leverage, and that is one solid tool!In the description it says these Cr-Ni tools are "induction hardened". I looked that up and apparently they are electronically heated from the inside out, rather than being subjected to an outside flame. That should provide a more even heating throughout the metal, before it is quenched.Bottom line... seven high quality tools and a very nice roll up pouch, all for the low asking price of ~$50. I highly recommend this pliers package, and think it's an excellent gift item as well.
